Want to make a difference and get involved with the club? Then volunteering might be right for you.
The Brighton Bulldogs are a volunteer led family club that relies on volunteers to help keep the cogs turning.
We understand that life is busy, and time is off the essence, hence why we have flexible and numerous volunteering opportunities throughout the season.
Volunteering helps keep both operating costs and registration fees low, brings people with different skills together, and builds an even stronger club in our community.
If volunteering is not an option, members can pay a $100 contribution in lieu of the 10 hours. The 10 hours (or $100) are per member registration e.g., a family with more than 1 player only requires paying $100 or provide 10 hours of volunteering.
There is
no restriction on the number of hours volunteers contribute, with many coaches
and committee members exceeding 10 hours every week. However, the minimum
contribution is 10 hours across the season. This is fewer than the number
of weeks in the season. To help track and manage volunteer hours, we ask
each registration to have completed 50% of their
volunteer hours by the halfway point in the season, which is the June holidays.
There are numerous tasks that need to be completed.
Some on a weekly basis and others as they come up. Whatever your interest, whether it be serving
food and beverage, marking lines, event set up or ad hoc maintenance, the club
has something for everyone. Ongoing training and support are available, so if
you decide to try a different task throughout the season, we will be there to
help.
If you chose to volunteer, we will be in contact and advice on opportunities
as the season progresses. A sign in and sign out form is in the club house;
this will need to be completed each time you volunteer to assist us in tracking
your hours.
Please
note that only the team coaches and team managers are officially recorded by
the Club, qualify for volunteer hours.
Helping
at your sons/daughters training does not meet the criteria for volunteer hours.
It's generally expected that the coach will need parental assistance from time
to time.
Below
is a list of football and operational opportunities. If you are interested in
any of these, or have a different skill you would like to share with the club, please email us at admin@brightonbulldogs.org.au
We
look forward to meeting our new members and welcoming our current members back
for another season of exciting football.

worthless, but because they are priceless”
